Introducing the first in a series of paintings called: SPLASH
"I am drawn to the figure in art the way I am prone to people watching in Italy; I like to see a conversation unfold in gestures and postures.
I see the figure as the sum of gesture and color, with my use of the latter being an intuitive interpretation of value. I abstract line and shape to create a sort of scaffolding for the figure. The result is often an enigmatic presence of strings, geometric outlines and horizons that suggest space but also imply limitations, circumstances or decisions regarding the body’s actions."24 X 36
