My husband and I spent a year in Australia where I was amazed by the vast differences in their wildlife from what we have in the United States. I photographed as much of it as I could, including this mated pair of Rainbow Bee Eaters. They were perched on a wire in front of our AirBnB. The male had just brought the dragonfly to the female, and she tossed it into the air a few times before eating it. A few minutes later the pair were snuggled shoulder to shoulder on the wire.
