This commanding four-foot sculpture layers geological history with contemporary craftsmanship. A hand-formed ceramic arch serves as the work's structural and visual anchor, with an ancient ammonite fossil integrated into its uppermost curve.

A magnifying orb positioned at the arch's base frames an embedded ammonite specimen, inviting close study of these Mesozoic shells. The arch itself is elevated by authentic Pleistocene Era Florida coral, which crowns a fossilized mammoth bone fragment—materials that speak to epochs spanning millions of years. A modern tripod base provides the foundation, creating a compelling tension between primordial natural elements and contemporary sculptural practice. All of this and the helix turns on its base, allowing for multiple views.
