DEI simply means that we recognized our communities are made up of individuals with diverse circumstances that include race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, abilities (and disabilities) and other aspects of identity.
Given these differences, DEI works toward ensuring fair treatment, opportunities, and access to resources for all Americans. And to create an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and is empowered to contribute fully.
