Bright juxtapositions of colors always capture my interest as did these red and yellow umbrellas at a sidewalk cafe in Saint Remy. I tried to capture the sunlight shining through the umbrella fabric while still leaving the diners in semi shade using my portable gouache kit on watercolor paper.
