Jenny Bleackley - Watercolor/Paper

Jenny Bleackley is an award winning, impressionistic watercolor artist exhibiting nationally and internationally. As a self-taught artist she has mastered the art of using her medium on various substrates. She mainly works on canvas using techniques to help the watercolor adhere – working with either gesso or tissue paper, she creates a more impasto, bold style making her flowers look like they are dried and stuck on.

Bleackley is inspired by her Florida surroundings and hopes her passion for painting Florida wildflowers, the Everglades and seascapes can promote the beauty of the area's wilderness. She lives and works in St. Petersburg, FL.
