Jim Kammerud

Oil painter, Jim Kammerud, is an artist and a storyteller. During his debut showing at BMG, Jim celebrates the joy of love and being with each other! In his newest works, Jim, paints our gentle giants with the beloved mermaid fantasies.

Jim spent a career writing and directing several Disney movies and has lent his pencil to many others, like Little Mermaids, and Space Jam (the original and the terrible sequel). Jim lives in Saint Pete and has returned to his first love, drawing and painting, but still always telling a story. 

He can be found in many of the local figure drawing groups filling newsprint pads with charcoal drawings. He paints in oils at his St. Petersburg studio, where he lives and works in a community of artists with his wife, oil painter Janie Haskins.
