Greta Thunberg, Environmentalist

Thunberg is a Swedish activist best known for pressuring governments to address climate change and social issues. She gained global attention in 2018, at age 15, after starting a solo school strike outside the Swedish parliment. Thunberg has gone on to pursue environmental justice.

In 2024, Florida legislation (House Bill 1645) was signed into law removing the requirement for the state of Florida to consider climate change in crafting energy policy. It also removes nearly all references to climate change in Florida policy documents and law.
